Are Zip Lines Safe?

are zip lines safe? At White River Zip Lines, YES!When you’re considering zip lines as an activity for a fun weekend outing, family adventure, or evan a birthday party safety is obviously one of the first things on your mind. Even though zooming above the ground at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour may sound thrilling and dangerous, the truth is that accident and injury rates for zip lines are lower than many other common activities like backpacking or amusement parks, and far below those for sports like soccer or even basketball. When the zip lines are designed and operated with the highest safety standards like at White River Zip Lines, the risk is even less.

Our course was designed by a licensed engineer and constructed by an experienced zip line fabricator to meet or exceed all requirements for maximum loads and forces. The course is fully inspected each day before a single flight takes place, so you can rest assured that everything is in perfect working order. On the day of the flight, each guest in your group will be personally fitted with a full-body harness—the same industrial-strength ones utility workers use to prevent themselves from falling—and a climbing helmet. A trained, experienced guide will conduct a thorough briefing of all the procedures and rules and let everyone get their "feet wet" on the ground school mini-zip. Guides will then travel the whole course with your group to ensure everyone stays safe and has fun.
